Respect and support of local communities as well as building a relationship of trust and cooperation is a long-held tradition beginning over a century ago.
Our social policy is directed by the “branching out and adding value” concept and emphasis is given to sharing know-how, experiences and resources in local community projects and initiatives that create added value.
Examples of this practice include local partnership initiatives such as FAOS, the Technical Training Program for Young Unemployed in Patras (Gr) and FYRoM, and more.
All TITAN plants carry out a variety of social activities intended to strengthen their social bonds with the neighboring communities and anticipate more effectively in their concerns.
Every year new efforts are included in the local action plans, developed reflecting our managers and employees’ inspiration and their expression of corporate values.
Examples of practice in 2007 include:
- The continuous of the craft skills development program for women in local communities near Kamari plant (Gr).
- New Employee volunteer emergency response teams organized in Patras plant in cooperation with the Hellenic Rescue Team
- Cooperation with the Pyrounakio Foundation for disadvantaged children and others in need in Elefsina (Greece)
