Grey Sulfate Resistant Cements
CEM IV/A(P) 42,5 N - SR

This is Portland cement used mainly in applications of prefabricated and ready-mix concrete, as well as in dry-blended products with hydraulic properties. It is ideal for use in prefabricated modules, prestressed concrete elements, etc.

The use of sulfate resistant cement is obligatory for concretes subject to moderate (ΧΑ2) or heavy (ΧΑ3) exposure to sulfates that are present in the soil or in underground water, as per the Concrete Technology Regulation of 2016. Our CEM IV/A(P) 42,5 N-SR cement contains a special clinker with less than 9% tricalcium sulfate and pozzolana.

ΤΙΤΑΝ is committed to constant improvement in the areas of environmental protection and sustainability, particularly through the use of recycled content, reduced waste and improved energy efficiency.

  1. Product Applications

In order to produce durable concrete resistant to ΧΑ2 and ΧΑ3 environments, the mix's content in CEM IV/A(P) 42,5 N-SR type cement must adhere to the provisions in the Concrete Technology Regulation of 2016.

All typical concrete additives (e.g. plasticizers, air-entraining agents, retarders) can be used with our CEM IV/A(P) 42,5 N-SR cement.

  2. Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), Declaration of Performance and CE Marking

Our cements comply with the ELOT ΕΝ 197-1 harmonized European standard and are subject to third-party accreditation procedures by a notified EU body according to System 1+ for the Assessment & Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP).

TITAN has published the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of cement, through an independent certified body.

The EPDs, the Declaration of Performance on the key attributes of the product and the CE Marking can be found here.

The CE Marking is placed on the packaging and/or the dispatch documents as per the Regulation for Construction Products.

  3. Health and Safety

Contact with wet cement, wet concrete or cement mix may cause irritation, dermatitis or serious alkali burns. The contact of cement dust with bodily fluids (e.g. sweat or eye moisture) may also cause irritation, dermatitis or burns. It entails a serious risk of eye damage. Wear suitable, impermeable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. In case of eye contact, rinse off immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. After skin contact, wash off immediately with plenty of clean water. Keep out of reach of children. Contains chromium (VI). May cause allergic reactions, the risk of which is higher if the cement is used beyond the use-by date stated in the dispatch documents.
