Grey Cement CEM I 52,5 N

This is the Portland cement used mainly in applications of prefabricated and ready-mix concrete, as well as in dry-blended products with hydraulic properties. It is ideal for use in prefabricated elements, prestressed concrete, etc.

CEM I Portland bulk cements are employed in various applications, from concrete and ready-mix products to prefabricated structural elements such as beams, panels, etc.

CEM I Portland cement is manufactured by firing a precise mix of raw materials, including limestone, silica, aluminium oxide and small quantities of other materials to form the clinker. The clinker is ground together with gypsum (it helps control the setting time) to produce cement of a specific fineness (up to 5% secondary ingredients are introduced at the grinding stage).

Features and Benefits:

  • Can be used with additives to produce the appropriate concretes for a broad range of applications.
  • Consistency and reliability in construction
  • As a type I cement Ι (clinker and gypsum), it retains its stable colour and is ideal for architectural (exposed) concretes.
  1. Product Applications

In order to produce durable concrete using CEM I Portland cement, the mix's cement content must adhere to the ELOT EN 206 standard and the Concrete Technology Regulation 2016, which set out guidelines for the use of cement in concretes for various categories of exposure and adverse environmental conditions in order to achieve the planned longevity of the structure.

All typical concrete additives (e.g. plasticizers, air-entraining agents, retarders) can be used with our CEM I cement.

  2. Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), Declaration of Performance and CE Marking

Our cements comply with the ELOT ΕΝ 197-1 harmonized European standard and are subject to third-party accreditation procedures by a notified EU body according to System 1+ for the Assessment & Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP).

TITAN has published the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of cement, through an independent certified body.

The EPDs, the Declaration of Performance on the key attributes of the product and the CE Marking can be found here.

The CE Marking is placed on the packaging and/or the dispatch documents as per the Regulation for Construction Products.

  3. Health and Safety

Contact with wet cement, wet concrete or cement mix may cause irritation, dermatitis or serious alkali burns. The contact of cement dust with bodily fluids (e.g. sweat or eye moisture) may also cause irritation, dermatitis or burns. It entails a serious risk of eye damage. Wear suitable, impermeable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. In case of eye contact, rinse off immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. After skin contact, wash off immediately with plenty of clean water. Keep out of reach of children. Contains chromium (VI). May cause allergic reactions, the risk of which is higher if the cement is used beyond the use-by date stated in the dispatch documents.
