On Friday, May 17, 2002, TITAN organized in the Kamari Factory the first Graduate Forum; a very successful, innovative educational event that was developed and launched on the occasion of the company’s centenary celebrations.
This initiative -the first of its kind in Greece- was realized with the collaboration of 7 ΜΒΑ universities and addressed 2 topics selected by the students:
- Productivity and competitiveness: The double challenge of the European Economic & Monetary Union
- Leadership development – successful career in the 21st century
The event was attended by distinguished professors and 160 students from the postgraduate departments of the Athens University of Economics and Business (MBA/MBA Executive), the University of Piraeus (MBA/TQM), the National Technical University of Athens (MBA), the Kapodistrian University (Applied Economics) and ALBA (MBA). The topics were introduced by the directors of the postgraduate schools and by well-recognized businessmen. A discussion was also held with the participation of the students, where views for further reflection were exchanged. During the 100 years of TITAN’s successful course, the development and evolution of its human resources remains a key axis of its strategy, which is driven by the values of Knowledge and Continuous Improvement. In this context, the Company finances a five years’ program of inviting INSEAD professors to ALBA, with the purpose to transmit high level knowledge to the executives of Greek companies.
Combining business competence with respect for people, society, and the environment, on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, TITAN is planning a series of events in Patras, Kamari, Boeotia, Thessaloniki, Elefsina and Athens, to promote the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility.
