It is with great sadness that we have to report a fatal accident which occurred today, 31st May 2006, at the port facilities of the TITAN plant at Elefsina. During scheduled work carried out by a contractor on one of the ship loading machines, part of the machinery became detached and fell to the ground.
As a result of this accident two workers lost their lives and another five have been injured.
All TITAN people are devastated by the tragic incident. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the victims and their families and have taken all necessary steps to support them.
An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the accident.
