Regeneration of the archeological hill of Elefsina
The forest of the Archaeological Site of Elefsina, which has recently been blackened, with its burnt trunks testifying the destruction from the successive fires of recent years, comes to life again.
Based on its experience both in social issues and in environmental restorations, TITAN Cement took the initiative, in conciliation with the Archaeological Services, to reshape the approximately 60 acres of the archaeological hill of Elefsina, by planting 7,500 plants and installing an irrigation system that will allow them to grow even in adverse weather conditions.
The hill has already been cleared of the burnt debris and the planting work is in progress, with an expected completion time in mid-April. This way the hill regained its beauty and was given back to the residents of Elefsina and Thriasio Pedio as a green oasis for recreation.
