TITAN provided multifaceted support to the 4th Kitesurf Festival organized on 5 and 6 September, on the beach next to its Drepano, Achaia, plant
TITAN provided multifaceted support to the 4th Kitesurf Festival – in addition to being a Major Sponsor – through services which contributed to an impeccable event. The Festival was held under the auspices of the Region of Western Greece on 5 and 6 September in Drepano, Achaia and took place on the seaside next to the TITAN Plant, an ideal location for waterboard sports due to the special morphology and quality of the waters.
With the aim to ensure a fun, pleasant and safe experience for athletes and spectators, TITAN set up and staffed a special parking area within the Plant, provided mini-van transportation for athletes and participants from the parking area to the beach and vice versa, and supplied waste bins for the entire area of the festival.
One of the highlights of the Festival was the hosting of 10 children and their escorts from “The Smile of the Child” organization and its residence in Aigio, giving them the opportunity to become acquainted with water sports and enjoy the sports activities of the second day of the festival. The children’s visit was organised and implemented care of TITAN, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program and the long-standing, close relationship with “The Smile of the Child”.
The Drepano Plant undertook to build the stand of the Region of Western Greece, specially designed to facilitate the presence of the Region during the Festival and to inform athletes and spectators about its activities and programs.
Both the competitive program and the overall organization of the Festival received excellent comments, having attracted, over those two days, more than 110 athletes from all over Greece and approximately 4,000 spectators. The Manager of the Drepano Plant, Mr. Thomas Glavas, presented the awards in the WOMENS’ FREESTYLE category (http://www.wbsf.gr/i-nikites-tou-4th-kitesuf-festival)
