‘Keen to Succeed’ - ΤΙΤΑΝ’s Forum for Postgraduate Students
Challenges, opportunities and prospects for professional advancement in the environment of the crisis, were the topics discussed at the 8th Forum for Postgraduate Students, which was held in Thessaloniki. These Forums are annual events organized by TITAN as a ground for valuable dialogue between Postgraduate students and representatives of the academic and business communities. They allow managers of the future to learn about prevailing trends in the businessworld.
The event was held on April 5, 2013 at the TITAN plant in Nea Efkarpia, Thessaloniki. Titled ‘Keento Succeed’, it was attended by 100 postgraduate students from the University of Macedonia, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Anatolia College of Thessaloniki (ACT), the International Hellenic University (IHU), the University of Komotini and ICBS Business College. Prominent executives of the business community presented the challenges and opportunities of the current labour market. Furthermore, they advised students on how to start up their own business.
The students and speakers were welcomed by Dimitris Papalexopoulos, CEO of the TITAN Group and Ioannis Monachos, Manager of the Nea Efkarpia plant. The speakers who honoured the event with their presence were as follows: Nikolaos Pentzos (President of the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece), Konstantinos Konstantinidis (CEO of Pelopac SA), Panayiotis Kouvrakis (Deputy Chairman and CEO of BETA CAE Systems SA), Fanis Georgiadis (Manager, Executives earch and selection, ICAP), Danae Bezantakou (CEO, Navigator Shipping Consultants Ltd., member of the i-for-U Greek Mentoring Network), Alexandros Katsiaboulas (Environmental Director, TITAN Greece), Anna Zilakou (Communications and PR Manager, Endeavor Greece) and Zoe Novak (Environmental Engineer, head of gastro-tourism start-up business). The event was facilitated by Sevasti Kesapidou, Director of the Postgraduate Business Administration Programme of the Anatolia Business School - American College of Thessaloniki.
The Postgraduate Forum has become a tradition for TITAN, with more than 3,000 students so far attending 11 of the events at the Kamari plant and eight at the Nea Efkarpia plant in Thessaloniki.
