11th Titan Postgraduate Forum

Employment prospects in Greece and abroad, and Greek entrepreneurship, were the topics discussed at Titan’s 11th Leadership Forum. These events have been organized since 2002, in both Athens and Thessaloniki, and are designed to provide the managers and businessmen of tomorrow with real knowledge of conditions in the business world and the state of the international market.

The event was staged at Titan’s Kamari plant on 30 November 2012, and was attended by 220 students from postgraduate courses at the Athens National and Kapodistrian University, the Athens University of Economics, the University of Piraeus and the ALBA Graduate Business School. The students heard talks by prominent figures in the business world on challenges and opportunities in the labour market, and on how they might set about starting up their own businesses.

The business people who kindly agreed to speak at the events were Petros Mihos (Director and Executive for Search and Selection, Deloitte), Karolos Travassaros (Business Consultant, The Boston Consulting Group), Vasilis Stathakopoulos (Vice President, Credit Suisse LLC), Fanis Rigas (co-founder of kariera.gr), Danai Bezantakou (CEO, Navigator Shipping Consultants Ltd., member of the i-for-U Greek Mentoring Network), Zoe Novak (Environmental Engineer, Start Up Association, gastro-tourism business) and Haris Makryniotis (CEO, Endeavor Greece). The proceedings were coordinated by Dr. Olga Epitropaki, lecturer at the ALBA Graduate Business School.

The Postgraduate Forum has established itself as a regular event, which has been attended since 2002 by more than 3,000 students at 11 forums held at the Kamari plant in Boeotia and 7 at the Nea Efkarpia plant in Thessaloniki.

The forums are just a small part of a whole range of educational initiatives sponsored by TITAN as part of its policy on Corporate Social Responsibility.
