THE TITAN LEADERSHIP FORUM

A regular series of events designed to promote communication and dialogue between postgraduate students and representatives of the academic and business communities

The fifth of our Leadership Forums was held at the Group’s Kamari plant on 18 May 2006. The Forums for postgraduate students were launched back in 2002 as part of the programme of events marking the company’s centenary; five have been organized so far at the Kamari plant in Boeotia, and two in Thessaloniki.

The intention behind the Forums is to make a real contribution to communication and cooperation between postgraduate students and representatives of the academic and business communities, allowing the sharing of information and providing opportunities for productive discussion of major economic and other issues affecting the modern world.

The recent Kamari Forum was attended by 240 students from postgraduate programmes. They, and the speakers addressing the event, were welcomed to the Forum by Dimitris Papalexopoulos, Managing Director of the TITAN Group.

The programme included two round-table discussions of issues suggested by the students themselves. The first session, devoted to the theme Productivity and Competitiveness of Greek Businesses, was coordinated by T. Politis, Scientific Director of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research, and addressed by N. Karamouzis, Deputy Managing Director of EFG Eurobank Ergasias and G. Gerardos, Chairman and Managing Director of Plaisio Computers.

The second session, Contemporary trends in the labour market for young executives and choice of working environment, was coordinated by G. Bohoris, Director of the MBA-TCM programme at the University of Piraeus, and addressed by A. Laskaris, former Chairman and Managing Director of Shell Hellas and T. Evangelou, General Director of Diageo Hellas.
