THESSALONIKI LEADERSHIP FORUM

"One of a series of events designed to promote communication and dialogue between graduate students and representatives of the business and academic communities.

On 25th November 2005 a second, highly successful, Leadership Forum was staged in Thessaloniki – another in the series of events for graduate students launched by TITAN Cement Company S.A. in 2002 to mark the centenary of the Company’s founding. Four such forums have already been organized at the Company’s Kamari plant in Boeotia, while this is the second to be held in Thessaloniki.

The idea behind the Forum is to make a meaningful contribution to cooperation and communication between graduate students and representatives of the academic and business communities – exchanging valuable information and providing an arena for reflection and discussion on important economic and other issues.

At the Thessaloniki Forum the 150 graduate students and guest speakers were welcomed by Mr. Dimitris Papalexopoulos, Managing Director of the TITAN Group.

The programme for the event included two round-table discussions on subjects suggested by the students themselves. The first session, on the subject Development of business activities - Opportunities for success, was addressed by S. Xirotyri-Koufidi, Professor at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, G. Mylonas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Alumil company and President of the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece, and A. Tzikas, Technopolis Chairman and President of the Association of IT Businesses.

The second session, on the subject Careers and professional mobility for young executives, was addressed by E. Petridou, Assistant Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, L. Vasilaki, Director of Human Resources at TIM Hellas, and H. Papaellinas, Chairman of Notos Com Holdings."
