Sustainability of local communities

Voluntary Blood Donation: an institution that saves lives!

Voluntary blood donation represents a long-standing tradition for our people.

Since the 1960s, we have been actively participating as supporters-sponsors in promotional campaigns of this important social initiative at our plants and offices.

This timeless initiative aims not only at encouraging and supporting blood donation but also at promoting the concept of social solidarity and volunteering within our broader family, which includes local communities.

TITAN’s Blood Bank was founded in 1974 at the initiative of the employees, with the aim of strengthening the life-saving institution of voluntary blood donation.

This effort on the part of the employees receives our warm support: we organize and coordinate voluntary blood donations, ensure the sound management of the Blood Bank, provide information to already existing volunteers and encourage new ones to join our actions.

Blood donation takes place twice a year at our plants and headquarters and more than 40,000 blood bags have been collected in total.

The willingness of volunteers (TITAN and INTERBETON employees, retirees, family and friends, external partners, silo truck drivers, residents of neighbouring areas, etc.) to donate blood gets bigger and more touching every year.
