Donation by TITAN and the Paul & Alexandra Canellopoulos Foundation
With the aim of making a meaningful contribution to the protection of the natural environment and local communities, TITAN and Paul & Alexandra Canellopoulos Foundation (PACF) made a significant donation of €1 million in 2023 to help strengthen Greece’s resilience against the increasingly frequent phenomena of natural disasters.
On their own initiative, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment & Energy, TITAN and PACF undertook the restoration of areas in Western Attica. The restoration included funding the necessary studies as well as carrying out immediate anti-erosion works, focused on addressing soil erosion and enhancing flood protection to support the natural regeneration and rehabilitation of the area.
Together, they undertook the restoration of approximately 41,000 stremmas, actively supporting the national effort to recover the burnt lands in Dervenochoria and Mandra, which were heavily affected by the major wildfire of 2023.
This initiative follows prevention and educational actions—totaling €1 million— implemented jointly by PACF and TITAN following the wildfires that struck Greece in 2021.
